So, my newest goal (which this blog in itself would allow me to check off one project) is to finish (or in some cases start up for those ongoing projects) one project a month. I know some may say that's a low goal, but for me it would be much more than I feel I am accomplishing lately.
It's not to say I'm not working on things, but I have a lot of art projects that I began, but never finished. Or things I've purchased to do/make, but never started. I think giving myself a whole month will be helpful because hopefully I can do a little every week. And I do keep myself busy with taking a variety of classes. This month I signed up for a stained glass class and a fused glass class.
Some projects that come to mind:
- Mixed media painting with 3D flowers
- Finish crocheting baby blanket for my niece
- Finish crocheting scarf
- Try canning
- Blogging at least once a week
- Glass chandelier
- Mason jar projects:
Mason jar organizer
Mason jar light
Mason jar soap dispenser for a friend
- Scrapbook: memory scrapbook and wedding scrapbook or maybe baby scrapbook of my niece! I have all of the materials... now to make it...
- Photobook of my relationship pre-marriage
- Edit wedding photos
- Printing out wedding pictures and putting into albums
- Parent photobooks
- Cake for niece's baptism party
- Cake for CNY Cake Decorating Competition
- Meal planning for at least a week at a time
- Finish designing baptism invitations
- Put together framed picture displays in the house
So... that's everything I can think of off the top of my head. And realistically, I know there are many more things. I'll have to go through my craft room and add more to the list as necessary.
Maybe if I get into a good routine I can move up to Project Every Other Week or... maybe even Project a Week! But, baby steps... baby steps...
