So, I had a thought today, while using a Living Social at a restaurant today for lunch (review to come hopefully). I should review the deals I am using! So... to come are some reviews based on deals I get.
I am signed up with three deal sites and have limited myself to not get onto any more. I'm a sucker for a good deal and can RARELY pass them up. I'm on Groupon, Livingsocial, and CNY Deals.
Use my Groupon friend-code if you're thinking of joining please!! http://www.groupon.com/l/uu19297172
Anyway, I have gotten so much and so many deals. I was doing really well with them too, until a few months before my wedding, which was in July. I let a handful expire.
To keep them all straight I actually have an Excel spreadsheet with every deal I purchase, where it's from, whose account (mine or my husbands), address, phone number, and expiration date. This has honestly really helped me keep track of things. Groupon is better than Living Social at helping you find your expired deals so you can still use the paid value later on. Living Social is pretty horrible at that if you ask me; which I'm sure helps them make some money.
Anyway, I was very excited when I thought of this. I LOVE getting restaurant deals because it forces me to try out new places I never would necessarily check out at full price. How can you pass up food for half off? And a lot of the places really aren't that bad. On top of that, they both have GREAT customer service. They get back quickly to any messages I send them. They both basically have a satisfaction guarantee, and when I've had any sort of problem being able to use my deal I always at least get credit back to my account. For example, one time a store closed for the winter even though the deal was going on during that time. Another time, a website was down and they mentioned it would only be for a week, but they didn't have a problem refunding me when I said I'd rather just have the refund. Another time a store went out of business. The one drawback to that too is that neither site will tell you if a business went out of business, but I guess they do have money to make...
Okay, I'm done rambling for today. :)
